To use onX Hunt on your phone or computer, you'll need to either create an account or log into one you created previously.
If you've created an account in the past, we strongly recommend logging in with the same email address you previously used—any applicable paid Memberships, Offline Maps, or Markups are saved to the account you're logged into at the time and could be lost if you create multiple accounts with different email addresses.
onX Offroad or Backcountry users who already have an onX account can log into onX Hunt as a Basic (free) user by providing the same email address and password.
Note: Premium or Elite Memberships for one onX product (Hunt/Offroad/Backcountry) do not provide access to paid features in any others. User-generated content (Waypoints, Lines, Tracks, Shapes, Routes, Offline Maps, etc.) does not sync across accounts or applications.

How to create a new onX Hunt account
From the onX Hunt App:
Open the Hunt App by locating it on your home screen and tapping it.
Ensure you see the "Sign Up" page. If you're prompted to "Log In," tap "Don't have an account? Sign Up" and follow the steps below.
- Enter your email address in the "Email" field.
- Enter a password of 8 or more characters in the "Password" field.
- Tap "Create Account."
From your computer:
Open a web browser (Google Chrome is recommended) and follow the steps below.
- Click here to launch the account creation screen on our website.
- Enter your email address in the "Email" field.
- Enter a password of 8 or more characters in the "Password" field.
- Click "Create Account."
If you'd like to purchase a Membership at the end of the trial period, choose one on the following screen and select the option to "Try Free for 7 Days."
If you'd prefer that the trial expires automatically without charging you, select "Maybe Later."
If you choose "Maybe Later," there's nothing to cancel — the trial will expire automatically after 7 days and your account will revert to a Basic (free) user experience.
If you choose the option to "Continue with Apple" or "Continue with Facebook" to create your account initially, you'll need to use the same option to sign into your account from your phone or computer. Click here for more information.
How to log in to the onX Hunt App
To access your onX Hunt account across multiple devices, you'll need to sign into the Hunt App with the exact same email address and password that you used to originally create the account.
To do this:
- Tap on the Hunt App icon on your home screen to open it.
- Ensure you're on the "Log in" screen.
- Enter your email and password in the provided fields.
- Tap "Log In."
If you're told the email address or password is already in use, it means you're attempting to sign up twice with the same email.
- To resolve this, tap "Already have an account? Log In."
- Enter your email and password in the related fields and tap "Log In."
Don't log out if you don't have service – the Hunt App keeps you logged in between sessions, but if you manually log out you'll need service to log back in.

How to log in to the onX Hunt Web Map
You can access your onX Hunt account from your desktop or laptop computer via the Hunt Web Map, a web-based application available at www.onxmaps.com.
Anything you save from your computer will sync to your phone or tablet and vice versa, provided you're logged into the same account (with the same email address) on each device.
Alternatively, you can follow the steps below after opening a web browser on your computer.
- Navigate to www.onxmaps.com.
- Click the "Log In" button in the upper right-hand corner.
- Select "Hunt Log In" from the drop-down menu.
- Enter your email address and password (if prompted) and click "Log In."
Note: if you experience issues logging into the Web Map, please clear your browsing history/cache and make sure your email address and password are entered correctly.
