A Markup is a Waypoint, Line, Track, Area Shape, or Route you can save to mark areas, measure distances and areas, etc.
You can use the Import and Export features to back up your Markups, send them in bulk to other users, or import data from friends and other mapping programs.
Imports must be a GPX or KML file, 4MB or less in size, with a max of 3000 markups. A paid Membership is required to import. KMZ files and Shapefiles can't be imported.

Importing Markups into the Hunt App
To start importing markups, open the App and tap the My Content button at the bottom of your screen.
Tap the Import button at the top of the menu.
Select the GPX file you want to import from the local files on your phone.
KML imports aren't supported from mobile devices, but you can import them from the Web Map.
Have any issues? Make sure the file you're importing:
- Is a GPX file.
- Is 4MB or less in size.
- Has 3,000 or fewer total Markups.
Exporting Markups from the Hunt App
The Export feature lets you export your saved Markups as a GPX file to back up your data or send it to others.
Before exporting your Markups, there are a few things to be aware of:
- Export Tracks as GPX files—if they're exported as KML files, they'll be converted into Lines.
- Export Lines or Area Shapes as KML files—Lines or Shapes exported as GPX files are converted into Tracks.
You'll need to use the Web Map to export or import KML files.
To export Markups from your phone, open the My Content menu and tap the Select button.
Check the box next to any Markups you'd like to export, then swipe left on the bottom row of buttons and tap "Export" to save the GPX file to your device.
iPhone/iPad users only:
If you've added Markups to a Folder, you can export the Folder itself as well.
To do this:
- Tap a Folder.
- Swipe left on the bottom row of buttons.
- Tap Export.
Folder exports are currently only available for iOS users.
