Use onX Hunt's Search feature to quickly move your map to a specific property, set of GPS coordinates, city, address, or other geographic feature.

Searching in the onX Hunt App
Tap the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner.
There are two types of searches: Location and Private Land.
- Location: search for latitude and longitude coordinates (decimal format required), cities and towns, geographic features, and street addresses. Click here to convert degrees, minutes, and seconds to decimal format GPS coordinates.
- Private Land: search for an individual property owner, timber company, NGO (non-governmental organization), ranch, or other private property, and filter your search by acreage.
To search for a location, tap "Location" at the top of the Search Menu.
Type your coordinates (decimal format recommended), city or town name, geographic feature, or street addresses into the search bar at the top of the screen. The results will populate in the list below automatically.
To search for private lands, tap "Private Land" at the top of the Search Menu.
Use the slider to filter private lands by acreage.
Type the landowner's full legal name (as it appears on tax records) into the search bar at the top of the screen. The results will populate in the list below automatically.
If a landowner has a common name or owns a large number of properties, narrow your search results by entering the county where the property is located after the landowner's name in your search.
To remove the acreage filter, tap the green Filter button.
Using Search in the onX Hunt Web Map
Click inside the Search bar at the top of the screen.
