If you've created an onX account in the past, you may have noticed additional sign-in options that allow you to use an Apple or Facebook account to create an onX account and log into the Hunt App or Web Map.
This can cause a situation wherein a user unknowingly has two separate onX accounts—one linked to their Facebook or AppleID account (which would utilize their AppleID or Facebook account credentials), and one linked to a different email and password that they provided in the past.
Keep reading for more information on how to determine if your onX account is linked to your AppleID or Facebook account.
Accessing an onX account linked to your AppleID
If you used the option to "Continue with Apple" when initially signing up for an onX account, you may have signed up with a Private Relay email or via the "Hide My Email" feature provided by Apple.

an encrypted email address consisting of a string of
random letters and numbers
ending in
@privaterelay.appleid.com. -
The Hide my Email
feature will create a randomized email address following
the format
"random-alias"@icloud.com.
If you're unsure if your Apple account is linked to your onX account, follow these steps to find it:
From an iPhone or iPad:
- Open the Settings App.
- Tap the name at the top of the screen to access your Apple ID settings.
- Tap Sign in with Apple.
- Choose onX Hunt or Identity Service Platform from the list of Apps and Websites.
- The associated Apple account and the provided email will be shown.
From a Desktop or Laptop computer:
- Log in to account.apple.com.
- Go to the Sign in & Security tab.
- Click Sign in with Apple.
- Select OnX Hunt or Identity Service Platform.
- The encrypted email will be listed under Hide My Email.
If either option shows an email linked to your AppleID account, you can use the "Continue with Apple" feature to sign in.

Accessing an onX account linked to your Facebook account
If you choose the option to "Continue with Facebook" when signing up for an onX account, the email address and password you use to log into Facebook will be provided as your onX account credentials.
See below for instructions on viewing Apps linked to your Facebook account.
From the Facebook mobile App:
- Tap the Menu button in the lower left-hand corner of your screen.
- Tap Settings & Privacy > Settings.
- Scroll to the Your Activity section and tap Apps and websites.
- Tap onX Hunt if it's available.
The email address that was used to create the onX account in question will be provided on this screen along with the date it was provided and whether or not the two accounts are still linked.
From a Desktop or Laptop computer:
- Click on your profile picture in the upper right-hand corner.
- Click Settings & Privacy > Settings.
- Scroll to the Your Activity section in the menu to the left and click Apps and websites.
- Locate onX Hunt and click View and Edit.
The email address that was used to create the onX account in question will be provided on this screen along with the date it was provided and whether or not the two accounts are still linked. If they are, you can use the "Continue with Facebook" option to sign into the Hunt App.
