onX doesn't sell user information. However, the onX Hunt App does require permission to access certain features on your device to function properly. This article explains what data is collected, why it's needed, and how it's handled.
Why does onX need access to my photos?
The onX Hunt App needs access to your camera and photo library to use the Photo Waypoint feature, which lets you attach photos to Waypoints you save on the map.
Why does onX need access to my location?
onX Hunt uses your device's location services to show where you are in relation to property borders and other map features—this information isn't shared with anyone else.
What does onX do with my Markups?
Markups you create are uploaded to onX's servers so you can access them from any compatible device. They're stored as raw data on restricted servers. onX employees can't view your Markups unless you request help and provide your login information. Your data is under your control.
onX Hunt includes a feature that lets you share Markups with other onX Hunt users. Shared Markups can be removed from another user's account at any time. Learn how to share Markups with other onX Hunt users.
Does onX store my personal information?
Your onX account is identified by email address—it's the only personal information required to create an account. Providing your first and last name isn't required but helps us identify your account if you need support and enables Markup sharing. Learn how to update your email address.
onX doesn't require or store your phone number or physical address. While onX does share some account information with third-party analytics providers for business purposes, onX does not sell personal information.
