The Trail layers are in the Roads, Trails & Rec folder in the Map Layers menu.
You can also create a Route that snaps along roads and trails to plan your trek into the backcountry. Learn more about Route Builder.
Trails
The basic Trails layer shows hiking trails as black and white dashed lines. The trail name or number is displayed along the trail.

Trail Slope
The Trail Slope layer highlights trails with a color gradient from green (flat) through yellow to red (steep).

| Green to red gradient — trail slope. Green indicates flat terrain; red indicates steep terrain. |
Trail Mileage
Trail Mileage shows the length of trail segments from one endpoint to the next.
