The layer shows two types of timber cuts. The year the project was completed is shown inside the border.
- Thinning: an intermediate treatment to reduce stand density, primarily to improve growth, enhance forest health, or recover potential mortality. Includes crown thinning, free thinning, low thinning, mechanical thinning, and selection thinning.
- Clearcut: a stand where essentially all trees have been removed in one operation to produce an even-aged stand. Depending on management objectives, reserve trees may or may not be left.
