Unlike turn-by-turn navigation, Go-To navigation draws a straight line, measured "as the crow flies", from your current location to a selected Waypoint.
It works online and offline and is a simple way to get your bearings in the field quickly.
Use the Go-To Waypoint feature when you need a direct line to a specific spot like a treestand, blind, or camp, especially in thick cover or unfamiliar terrain.
How to use the Go-To-Waypoint feature
-
Tap a Waypoint on your map or from your My Content library.
- Tap "Go To Waypoint" to draw a line from your location to the Waypoint.
- You'll see a distance and direction shown in the upper left-hand corner of your screen.
- Tap the location button to re-center the map on your current location.
- Tap it again to show a directional indicator.
- Use the directional indicator and the line drawn to the Waypoint to keep yourself on track.
Exit Go-To navigation by tapping the "X" in the upper left corner of your screen.
If you need to plot a route or get directions on existing roads and trails, consider building and following a Route or using onX Navigation for turn-by-turn directions.
