If you want to upgrade or downgrade your onX Membership, start by confirming how you originally purchased it to get credit for what you've already paid and avoid purchasing multiple Memberships.
Anything you've saved in onX Hunt is tied to the account you were logged into at the time, so make sure you use the same email address during the purchase process (whether upgrading or renewing) to avoid losing data and keep the paid Membership linked to the correct account.
Find your Purchase Method
Your Membership may be billed directly through onXmaps.com or a third party (such as Apple or Google) depending on whether you subscribed from your phone or computer.
If you need help determining your purchase method, click here to log in to your account info page.
Alternatively:- Open a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.).
- Navigate to www.onxmaps.com/account.
- Sign in with your onX email and password if prompted.
- Check the Payment Method field to see how you purchased your Membership (through onXmaps.com, Apple, or Google).
Note: If your Payment Method is Redemption, your Membership was activated with a 16-digit redemption code. There's no way to prorate credit for the unused time—you'll need to either let the Membership expire and then upgrade, or upgrade with the knowledge that you won't get any credit for the unused time.
Upgrading your Membership
Once you've found your purchase source, make sure to upgrade through that specific purchase channel to get credit for any unused time remaining in the lower-level Membership.
Upgrading through onXmaps.com
To upgrade your existing account through onXmaps.com, click here to view available Membership options.
- Select the Membership you'd like to purchase.
- Provide your onX account email during the checkout process.
- Your purchase will be automatically prorated based on the time remaining in your lower-level Membership.
What to expect after upgrading
Your renewal date won't change—you'll be charged for the amount of time remaining in your current subscription term at the upgraded Membership rate, minus prorated credit for what you've already paid and any applied discounts.
Upgrading through Apple
To upgrade through the App on your iOS device:
- Open the Hunt App and tap the Main Menu button.
- Tap Go Premium or Go Elite
- Select your desired plan and confirm the purchase.
What to expect after upgrading
You'll pay full price and begin a new Membership term. Apple will issue a prorated refund for the unused time remaining in the lower-level Membership within 10 business days.
Upgrading through Google
To upgrade through the App on your Android device:
- Open the Hunt App and tap the Main Menu button.
- Tap Upgrade.
- Select your desired plan and confirm the purchase.
What to expect after upgrading
You aren't charged when you upgrade your Membership through the Play Store—Google applies a prorated credit from the unused time on the previous plan toward the new one, and your renewal date shifts based on the value of that credit.
Once the credit runs out, you'll be charged full price for another year of Membership and start a new Membership term with a new start/end date.
Downgrading your Membership
There's no way to downgrade your Membership during your subscription term.
If you'd like to select a lower Membership tier, you'll need to cancel your Membership, allow it to expire, and then resubscribe.
You won't lose any saved Markups after canceling if you don't re-purchase a Membership—your content will be saved to your account even as a Basic (free) user.
Renewing your Membership
To renew your Membership, log into the Hunt App or Web Map with your onX account email and password and follow the upgrade prompts to purchase a Membership through the App or directly through www.onXmaps.com.
All your saved Waypoints, Tracks, Routes, etc. are saved to the account you were signed into at the time, so make sure to provide the same email address to resubscribe if you don't want to lose data.
- If you're told your email address is already in use, select Already have an account? Log in.
- If your login doesn't work, check for typos and/or click Forgot password? to recover it.
