This article covers how to download the onX Hunt App, create an account, and log in from your phone, tablet, or computer.
Download the onX Hunt App
Search for "onX Hunt" in the App Store or Google Play Store, or scan the QR code for your device below.
Heads up: iOS 17 or Android 9 or later is required. The onX Hunt App isn't compatible with GPS units, Kindle tablets, Windows tablets, Amazon Fire tablets, Chromebooks, or external/micro-SD storage.
iPhone and iPad:

Create your onX account
On mobile:
- Open the Hunt App to the Sign Up page.
- If you see Log In, tap Don't have an account? Sign up.
- Enter your email and create a password with eight or more characters.
- Tap Create Account.
On your computer:
- Go to onxmaps.com and click Log In in the upper-right corner.
- Select Hunt Log In from the drop-down menu.
- Click Start free trial to create an account.
- Choose Maybe Later if you want to use the free Basic version without automatic renewal.
Note: If you sign up with Apple or Facebook, you'll need to use the same option every time you log in.
Log in to your account
Use the same email and password on all your devices to keep your data in sync.
On mobile:
- Open the App and make sure you're on the Log In screen.
- Enter your email and password, then tap Log In.
If you're told the email address is already in use, you likely already have an account. Tap Already have an account? Log In instead.
Tip: Don't log out before heading into an area without service—the App keeps you signed in. If you manually log out, you'll need a connection to sign back in.
On your computer:
- Go to onxmaps.com and click Log In in the upper-right corner.
- Select Hunt Log In from the drop-down menu.
- Enter your email and password, then click Log In.
Tip: If you have trouble logging in, try clearing your browser cache or resetting your password.
