Waypoints, Routes, Lines, Shapes, and Tracks you create in onX Hunt can be edited from the My Content menu, located in the bottom toolbar in the Mobile App and the left toolbar in the Web Map.
Any edits you make from one device will automatically sync across all devices logged into the same account with internet connectivity.

Editing Markups

Click or tap the three dots
next to a Markup in a Folder or the My Content menu and tap Edit.
- Alternatively, click or tap a Markup on your map and select Edit from the options at the bottom of the menu.
- Swipe the Edit card up to reveal all options, make your changes, and tap Save.
You can edit the following information for any Markup.
- Name: Edit the displayed name of the Markup.
- Folders: Add the selected Markup to a folder.
- Notes: Add a description to the Markup.
Use the options outlined below to fully customize your saved Waypoints, Lines, Tracks, Routes, and Area Shapes.
Waypoint edit options
- Type: Tap the + symbol above "More" to view available icons.
- Color: Swipe left to view all available colors.
- Photos: Tap "Add" to take a picture or upload one from your device's photo library.
Line, Track, & Route edit options
- Line Color: Change the color of the Line, Track, or Route.
- Style: Choose between solid and dashed line types.
- Weight: Change the weight or thickness of the line.
Note: You can only edit Tracks after they're saved. The in-progress Track color can't be changed.
Area Shape edit options
- Area Color: Select the color of the Area Shape overlay.
- Line Color: Choose border color for the Area Shape.
- Style: Choose between a solid and dashed border.
- Weight: Change the weight or thickness of the line border.
Sorting, Filtering, and Searching
Open the My Content menu and click or tap a Markup category (All Content, Waypoints, Routes, etc.) to use the options for searching and filtering.
- Use the Search bar to find a Markup by name.
- Toggle "Filter list as map moves" on to only list Markups currently visible on the map.
Tap the Filter button
to filter and sort your Markups with the following options:
Filters
- Shared by: Only show Markups shared with you by a specific user.
- Waypoint type: Only show Markups with the same designated icon type.
- Waypoint Color: Only show Markups with the selected color.
Sort Order
- Type: List content in order of type (Waypoints, Routes, Tracks, Areas, Lines).
- New to Old/Old to New: Sort content based on the created date.
- Ascending/Descending: Sort content in ascending or descending alphanumerical order.
Organizing with Folders
Use Folders to easily organize Markups from the same trip or area.
Folders you've created are listed above your saved Markup categories in the My Content menu.
Make a Folder
- Open the My Content menu
- Swipe it up to fill your screen.
- Tap Create New Folder.
Add a single Markup to a Folder
- Tap a Markup on your Map, swipe left on the options at the bottom, and tap Add to Folder.
Alternatively, tap the three dots to the right of a Markup in your My Content library and select Add to Folder.
Adding multiple Markups to a Folder
- Open the My Content menu.
- Tap Select.
- Tap the three dots in the upper-right corner of the menu.

Tap Select all content in map view to select
all Markups on your screen.
- Tap a Markup on the map to select them individually.
- Tap Add to Folder to move them into a new or existing folder.
Alternatively, swipe the My Content menu up, check the box next to each desired Markup, and tap Add to Folder.
Hiding and Showing Markups
Markups can be hidden individually, in bulk, or by hiding a Folder's contents, allowing you to reduce on-screen clutter and view your map more clearly.
The hidden symbol
next to a Markup or Markup category means the related content
is
currently hidden from view—tap this symbol to show the related
Markups.
Hiding a single Markup
- Tap a Markup on your map.
- Swipe the menu up to fill your screen.
- Tap Hide on map.
Alternatively, tap the three dots
to the right of a Markup in your My Content list and tap
Hide on map.
Tip: an eye icon
next to a Markup means it's hidden—tap the symbol to show the
Markup.
Hiding multiple Markups
- Open the My Content menu.
- Swipe it up to view all your saved content and categories.

Hiding a Folder
- Open the My Content menu
- Tap on a Folder in your My Content library.
- Toggle Hide folder on map on to hide the contents of the Folder on your map.
