Recent and Leaf-Off Imagery help you better assess current conditions for an area prior to heading to the field.
Elite onX Hunt Membership required.
Recent Imagery provides you with imagery captured as recently as two-weeks prior and can be a valuable resource for gauging the impact of recent wildfires or floods, mud, snow, ice, or even water levels over time that may be a factor in the field.
Leaf-Off imagery, available in select states, shows what the landscape looks like after trees and shrubs shed their leaves during autumn and winter months.
Using Recent Imagery in onX Hunt
To turn Recent Imagery on or off:
- Tap the Basemaps button in the lower right corner of your screen in the App or Web Map.
- Tap the toggle for Recent Imagery.
- Scroll through the date range to view different imagery sets in two-week increments.
Recent Imagery is captured at a lower resolution than default imagery; weather conditions such as cloud cover and heavy fog may be present. If an area is obscured, choose a newer/older two-week increment.
Using Leaf-Off Imagery in onX Hunt
To view Leaf-Off imagery in areas with coverage, open the Basemaps menu and toggle Leaf-Off Imagery on.
If Leaf-Off Imagery isn't available in an area, an overlay stating NO LEAF-OFF IMAGERY AVAILABLE is displayed.
