The Hunt Areas feature allows you to group multiple private land parcels and organize important property and hunting info in the My Content menu.
Use Hunt Areas to group multiple private land parcels and markups identifying key areas and routes of travel into a single location for easy reference and seamless sharing with other onX Hunt users.
Create a Hunt Area
To create a Hunt Area, open the My Content menu and tap Create Hunt Area.
- Tap private land parcels to add them to the Hunt Area.
- Check or uncheck the box to save Markups located within the area boundary to the Hunt Area.
- Tap Save to create the Hunt Area, and tap Next to add additional details or change the style and color before saving.
To view the Markups and parcels added to a Hunt Area, tap on the Hunt Area and select the Content or Private Land tabs.
Add and Remove Markups and Parcels
Markups
To add or remove Markups, click or tap on a Hunt Area, swipe left on the options at the bottom of the Hunt Area menu, and click or tap Manage Content.
- Click or tap on Markups to add or remove them from the Hunt Area.
- Swipe the menu up to select Markups from your My Content list.
If you've already created at least one Hunt Area, you can also add Markups by selecting a Markup and tapping Add to Hunt Area.
Private Land Parcels
To add or remove Private Land parcels, select a Hunt Area, click or tap Edit, and select the Private Land tab.
- Tap Add New Parcels to Hunt Area to add more private land parcels.
- Tap any desired private land parcel to add it to the Hunt Area.
- Swipe the menu up and tap the minus symbol (-) next to a parcel to remove it.
Note: Government Land parcels can't be added to Hunt Areas.
Sharing Hunt Areas
To share a Hunt Area you've created with another onX Hunt user, click or tap on the Hunt Area and click or tap Share.
- Select your preferred messaging App or copy the link URL.
- Send it to the recipient.
- Once the recipient clicks the link, they'll import the Hunt Area and all associated parcels and Markups into their account.
Once you've shared a Hunt Area, you can add or remove content and parcels and the recipient(s) can tap Refresh to view the changes.
Tap Shared with to manage access permissions.
Note: Saving a Markup within the boundaries of an already-created Hunt Area won't add it to the Hunt Area automatically—select the Markup and tap "Add to Hunt Area" to do this.
